    How to remove a white background

    1. Choose a logo, signature or product photo on white.
    2. White removal is set up. Raise Tolerance for off-white backgrounds, or click the image to pick a different color.
    3. Process and download the transparent PNG.

    Know before you export

    This removes pixels by color similarity, not by recognizing a person or object. Similar foreground colors may also be affected. Complex photographic backgrounds need a segmentation tool. Use PNG or WebP with transparency enabled to preserve the cutout.

    Supported files

    Still JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF up to 20 MiB and 64 megapixels, plus HEIC where your browser can open it (Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad). Photos above 24 megapixels are edited at 24 megapixels, and color effects run at up to 12 megapixels. Multi-image tools allow 12 files and 60 MiB of combined input. GIF, SVG, animated images and RAW formats are not supported.

    Remove White Background: common questions

    Why are some white parts of my logo removed too?

    Removal works by color. Keep Only remove edge-connected areas on so white shapes enclosed inside the logo stay, and lower the tolerance if light colors near the edge disappear.

    Can this remove a busy photo background?

    No. It removes one color, so it works best on plain, evenly lit backgrounds. Complex backgrounds need AI cutout software.
