Crop to 4:5: common questions
Why crop to 4:5 for Instagram?
4:5 is the tallest shape Instagram shows in the feed without trimming, so a portrait post takes up more of the screen than a square.
Is 4:5 the same as an 8 × 10 print?
Yes. 8 × 10 inches is a 4:5 ratio, so the same crop works for prints and for Instagram portrait posts.
